Monster attacks!

It just dawned on me on how many times the great cities of L.A and New York get attacked by huge monsters, aliens and of course the whole Terminator series. Its intriguing on how infatuated the american script writers are in demolishing these cities.

Maybe just maybe they are harboring mischievous mojo jojo (think powerpuff girls)  intents on wiping these cities off the face of earth. Or maybe they are secret terrorists trying to inflict mental fears of something out of the ordinary trying to commit total destruction on the the cities. Or maybe they are just sick and tired of the over-population problem of these cities and try to subconsciously attune our brains to avoid living in these cities.

L.A and New York gets attacked so many times in the history of monster films that I'm surprised that it still hasn't been flattened already.

Just get a move on it would yea? I'd like to see another city get attacked by these brain hijacking, cannibalistic, mind controlling, giant creatures which always seem to awaken or come out of nowhere. What about Las Vegas, what about Italy, what about the Vatican, what about Singapore, wait a minute...sorry my fault. If the film was shot in Singapore, it'll probably be commercial instead since..well you know how small the whole place is...

Getting on to the point, I would like to see other cities get attacked. Not that I'm condoning terrorism. I'm just condoning Monster and Alien attacks on these cities..in a movie.. yea. *winks*

Anyways, below are the few movies that have portrayed the cities being invaded or demolished by monsters and aliens.

Battle: Los Angeles - self explanatory
Terminator 1, 2, 3, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Salvation. - Los Angeles, all of them.
Independence day - to be fair, all over America
Ghost busters - lets not forget that big marshmellow michelin man or something in New York
King Kong - New York
Bush - Iraq, Afghanistan
Cloverfield - Nauseating
Skyline - If it was only as good as the car, good graphics, failed storyline.

You know what, the list goes too long. Go google it. heeheehee.
