Bearing the cross

Unspoken horrors,
Unmistakable consequences,
Unable to wake up from these nightmares.

What is it to hope in the Lord?
What is it to have joy in Him?
I thought I knew but I guess I was mistaken.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. 12So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.


Hard pressed but feeling almost crushed.
Perplexed and on the brink of despair.
Persecuted with an empty feeling of being forsaken.
Struck down countless times but not destroyed, left wheeling in the mud, left wheeling in helplessness.

Certainly my body is dying, as well as my spirit. What life is there to hope in when my hopes are always cut off. I am tired of being delivered to death. I'm tired of this endless battle with no end in view.

Lord, just have mercy on me. If you push me any more, I might not make it for the grief would be too big to even to desire to live. Take it all from my shoulders, take it all from my hands. Avert this cup of wrath, deliver me from these flames.

Centered

Jesus at the centre of it all,

Because of You

In times of need you have indeed answered, for that I thank you. :)

Grateful

Just came home, 

Came into the house to find that everything's normal, everything's is as it always was.

Dad's home, car keys on the tray, mum's bad habit of using her cup and placing the unwashed cup by the water flask.

Certainly I've lost a lot in my past, but I thank the Lord for what He has given me this very night, healthy family members in safety, a house to live in and the hope only He can give.

Thank you Jesus :)

You never fail to brighten things up, don't You? :)

Your word is a light to the darkness which surrounds my soul,
Your grace and tender mercies I will never comprehend,
My heart cries in anguish of the wandering thoughts that I may have disregarded You,
Throughout my ignorance You have still watched over me,
Father forgive me of this ignorance,

I am only a small man who is unable to comprehend Your greatness,
For You have said that You had plans to prosper me,
A promise You will never withheld from me,
Still, my heart is in tatters, worries enshroud my being,
Lord grant me faith, faith that I may believe that your favour is always with me.

The works and efforts of my hands are worthless,

If I ever should do well, It would be by your strength and your grace
Lord grant me the strength to strive on, a persistent will to do my best, and the wisdom to act

I'm tired.. I'm lacking sleep.. I don't know what's keeping me going, might be the coffee, probably not.

It's definitely You.

Deuteronomy 32:12

Deuteronomy 32:12 - So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him

And so I may say one day, glorifying His name, that He led me through this narrow path which is safest alone with Him

v8  Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me.
      Make your way plain for me to follow.

v11 But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever.
       Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.

Waiting

Waiting for a miracle and my prayers to be answered

Father,

Thank you for dying on the cross for me, 

Thank you for the salvation that You have offered to me as a gift, 

Thank you for the grace and mercy that You have for me though I have strayed from the path numerously,

Thank you for refreshing from the inside out with Your Holy spirit,

Lord, shape my heart after yours, make me a David, 

Lord, make me a humble man, make me a Moses,

Lord, consume me from the inside out, my soul cries out to you

The bottom of the valley

There's no peace within,
Shaken and am stumbling,
A forced smile, an empty laughter,
A tired body, a downcast soul.

Look beneath the facade,
An empty shell hungry for His anointing,
An aching heart in search of His presence,

Father, I ask of nothing else but to just fill me up with your spirit

The calm before the storm

A storm is brewing, troubles are arriving, challenges beckoning

Father please be my pillar of strength as I go through these ordeals.
Father please grant me vision as I am hungry for a glorying eternal perspective.
Father please grant me wisdom to seek your promises and the faith to see them fulfilled.

Let me not go through them for the sake of passing through but let me go through them with victory, a victory of faith over the world.

Father please mold me each day in your likeness.
Shape me into the person you want me to be.
Change me within, Lord.
